The apps can be tranferred from phone to external storage only if the manufacturer has provided the rights to do so. You can check the same by going into settings, then into the application management section. Here you can go into the downloaded apps section and see a check box before the apps which can be copied to the external storage. Tick on the apps and they are then stored onto the external storage. Some apps do not allow the same while others can be easily transferred to the storage.
