Open Question

Why do mountain bikers you meet on the trail usually look at your bike before they look at you?

maybe they're looking to see what gear you've got that they might want to get.

i've sort of quit mtn biking since i got the horses, but i know that i Always look at other rider's horses & gear before looking at them & i'm just looking for ideas.
